The 12th annual Rockdale Regional Science & Engineering Fair showcasing middle and high school projects will once again be be held at Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology. While there will be some changes from the past in the interest of safety, we are excited to host our annual fair once again as an in-person event.
Judges will be able to preview and score their assigned projects virtually using the same on-line platform that was used last year beginning Friday, February 4, 2022. During this "preview period," judges can score student work and consider questions in anticipation of the in-person interviews that will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022. We are excited about the time and flexibility that this extended virtual preview period will allow.
On the afternoon of the in-person interviews, Friday, February 11, 2022, Judges are asked to arrive at 12:30pm and report to the Learning Commons at Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology. A Chick-Fil-A lunch will be served followed by a judge's meeting that will begin at 1:00pm. Following the meeting, judges will be able to interview students and compete the scoring of their assigned projects.
As a judge, you will have the opportunity to judge exemplary science fair projects. Furthermore, your feedback will provide students with valuable information and insights as they strive to move on to the Georgia and International Science and Engineering Fairs. We are thrilled to be able to hold this event for students residing in Rockdale County during this exceptional time! Please consider joining us for this exciting event.
